El Torito Mexican restaurant “Sunday Champagne Brunch”
Hello friends, this Sunday morning I decided to go to one of my favorite champagne brunch places, El Torito Mexican restaurant. It’s an establishment that I frequently visit but rarely in the morning. I went to the one in Hawthorne but there are others and they all do the Sunday Champagne Brunch.
The all-you-can-eat champagne brunch includes a variety of entrees . They specialize in Mexican food but they also offer typical breakfast items such as sausage, eggs, tamales, pan dulce and omelets. Oh yeah! they have an omelet bar with all of your basic omelet ingredients and yes…they have chorizo. Other interesting entrees included BBQ ribs and waffles. And lastly it wouldn’t be a champagne brunch without unlimited champagne refills and orange juice if you enjoy mimosas.
The people who work there are very hospitable. This location in Hawthorne bordering Inglewood has lots of parking and is in a shopping center next to a Ralphs. One thing I didn’t like is that you have to walk in between the omelet bar and the regular bar to get to the buffet and theres not much room.
My overall experience was good. The food was on point with the exception of the menudo , it needed salt and was watery. Also the waffles I got were cold and I had a problem with the waffle topping station. For one thing the labels were misplaced and the whip cream bowl just had a plastic piping bag that was messy and astheticly unpleasant. The server was attentive and I hardly had an empty champagne glass. I give it a 7.3 out of 10, it’s one of the better buffet style champagne brunches that I’ve been too but it lacked choices. I felt there could’ve been more but with a $17.99 price per person and unlimited champagne refills, it was worth it.
Final verdict: 7.3/10
